Portuguese pianist, born 1993, at home in repertoire that runs from Couperin to concertos written this year.
He made his orchestral debut at twelve at Casa da Música in Porto. Since then he has appeared at the Konzerthaus Berlin, the Concertgebouw, the Palau de la Música Catalana, Lockenhaus and the Gulbenkian Foundation, and has worked closely with Maria João Pires, Daniel Barenboim, Ferenc Rados and Kirill Gerstein.
A committed advocate of new music, he has built lasting relationships with Francisco Coll, Valentin Silvestrov and António Victorino d'Almeida. Since 2018 he has been artistic director of the Póvoa de Varzim International Music Festival.
